Local 195 Office
Contract Highlights
We have 3 members and
2 retirees. Our group performs general clerical office work for CAW
Local 195 which represent workers in 60+ work places in the Windsor
and Essex County Area.
The main highlights in
our recent agreement were a 3% raise in each of the 3 years of the
contract. Also, improvements in dental and vision coverage. A
pension increase in the 3 years of the agreement from $1.00 per hour
to $1.25. We also established a maternity top up of $90.00 per week
effective immediately and a P.E.L. fund with an initial lump sum
payment. Our 2 retirees received a $200. 00 per year lump sum
payment as well as the Green Shield increases. The wages for our
supplemental and part time help increased substantially.
